To clean down the main stonework facades; carry out a condition survey and effect repairs to the Portland stone detailing.
The main facades were cleaned using the Masons cleaning process with nebular water jets to remove grime and pollution deposits.
The detailed condition survey revealed defects to the worn Portland stone cornices, corbel brackets and to the window cills.
Repairs were completed using our reconstituted Portland stone medium to match the original detail.
All open and defective stone joints were repointed using our Masons’ putty.
