Sudbury Fire Station

The one sure sign you are approaching a Fire Station is the gradual appearance of the Drill Tower over the station itself. Designed to resemble a multi-level high-rise building and generally built higher than a Fire Engine ladder can reach, these concrete structures are an essential part of the Fire Fighters’ ogoing training. But concrete can decay...

To repair the drill tower concrete.
First, the defective areas of concrete were carefully cut out to a sound core. The loose rust particles were removed from the reinforcing and two coats of red oxide were applied. New stainless steel reinforcing was supplied and fixed with the addition of binding wire for maximum strength. Each prepared area was fixed using our concrete repair mortar with an SBR additive to match in line detail.
