New Staircase in Silestone
The first implementation of Virgin Active Gym’s new look in The Strand, London.

To tile the WCs and male, female and disabled shower and changing facilities.
To design, manufacture and install a new Silestone staircase. This had to be done as nightshift work, allowing the gym to open normally while the works were being carried out each day.

Existing tiles were removed, the substrate made good, waterproffed and new tiles laid, all ensuring nothing interfered with the public using the gym, changing rooms and showers between 6am and 10pm.
The staircase was templated, brought to site and installed in sections over 3 nights, to ensure access was always maintained.

Although projects like these are fundamentaly difficult to manage, our team was up to the task. The projects demonstrates we are as adept with new composites as we are with heritage stone.
